My Story
I’m a psychotherapist committed to helping people learn how to achieve the change and empowerment they both want and need. I believe therapy is a way to aid others in finding the path they need in order to obtain happiness, stability, or success no matter what that might look like for each person. My specialties and areas of interest include mood & anxiety disorders, life transitions, sex & intimacy issues, trauma, and stress management.

PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that individuals have the ability to make positive changes in their lives. It the importance of understanding and addressing the underlying causes of emotional and behavioral issues, rather than simply treating them. Counseling also recognizes the unique experiences and perspectives of each individual, and seeks to provide a safe and supportive environment for personal growth and healing.
BELIEFS ON CHANGE
To me, therapy is a collaborative experience with the intent to promote real change and liberation. I place great value in the therapeutic relationship that is fostered through honesty, warmth, acceptance. Through the therapeutic relationship, I hope to establish a safe and non-judgmental environment that encourages vulnerability and change. Working together, we construct effective coping techniques, communication skills, healthy boundaries and behaviors, and improved life functioning.
THEORETICAL OREINTATION
I utilize an eclectic theoretical orientation is a counseling approach that combines different theories and techniques to create a personalized treatment plan for each client. I utilize an integrative approach and adapt methodology based on the needs of the client. Foundationally, I identify with Client-centered theory in that change is fostered first through the therapuetic relationship and fuels the strength of clinical intervention. I typically apply skills and techniques grounded in evidence-based practice including DBT, ACT, IFS, CBT, and Client-Centered Therapy.
CLINICAL APPROACH
My clinical approach recognizes that no single theory or technique works for everyone, and that each client unique needs and circumstances. By drawing from multiple theories and techniques, I tailor my approach to best meet the needs of each individual. It involves gathering information about the patient's history, fostering the therapeutic relationship, and developing a treatment plan based on the patient's individual needs. The clinical approach is essential for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring positive health outcomes.
